The conference includes the following blocks:

I. The system of waste management in Poland.

What is waste management in Poland on the threshold of the second 10 years of the twenty-first century? How much waste the average Pole broth and how are they managed? As Poland cope with the implementation of European Union accession obligations on waste? In the first block of presentations we will discuss the planned changes in waste management system in Poland.

II. Waste management in the company - complicated law.

Who is responsible for waste, to whom you can delegate this responsibility? How to do business in accordance with statutory requirements for waste management? What laws govern these issues? What should the evidence and reporting in the field of waste? This section will discuss the common problems of companies in the application and interpretation of legal requirements of waste management.

III. Sustainable supply chains.

How do I get additional benefits by using selective collection and sourcing of raw materials for recycling in the supply chain? What are the latest trends in the logistics of recovery? Block instances of practical applications will be dedicated to the principles of reverse logistics.

IV. Modern tools in support of sustainable waste management.

Is enterprise management according to the concept of sustainable development can benefit? Is responsible business CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) the domain of corporations? How waste is to the responsible business? We will also talk how to use modern tools to improve the efficiency of waste management in business.

* Eko Cykl Recovery Organisation Inc. has been established in response to new legal regulations under which entrepreneurs have assumed liability for package waste from products marketed in packages. The Act dated 11 May 2001 on Obligations of Entrepreneurs Regarding Management of Some Sort of Waste and on Product Payments and Deposit Payments (Journal of Laws of 2007, No 90, item 607, as amended) constitutes the legal basis for establishing our company.

The subject-matter of the activity carried out by Eko Cykl Recovery Organisation Inc. involves taking over, from manufacturers, importers and commercial units, the obligation to ensure recovery and recycling of package waste. It is an alternative to payment of a product fee to the Marshall’s Office. We fulfil the assumed obligation through close cooperation with entities involved in selective collection as well as recovery and recycling of waste, which operate all around Poland.
